A casual and eclectic retreat in a historic Portland neighborhood celebrates the plants and materials of the Pacific Northwest. The backyard features basalt stone walls and a largely native plant palette. The front yard allows for vegetable gardening, and for sitting in the sun and enjoying the flowers.
